The new Rebel Girls Book is here and we are giving away copies!

posted by Shweta Sharan, March 29, 2019

In 2016, a book called Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls Volume 1 broke the record for the amount of money its crowdfunding campaign raised. The book was published and went on to be a modern classic. In 2018, a Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls Volume 2 was published. It is now 2019 and we have a Rebel Girl Journal that's out on the stands!

The Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls, Volume 1 and Volume 2, are books that have changed the lives of many children. It encouraged my daughter to become an avid reader and also got her to idolize women like Marie Curie and Frida Kahlo.

Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls reclaims histories that have been lost to time and popular culture. For example, my daughter and I were stunned to learn of how important a role a computer scientist named Margaret Hamilton wrote code that got the astronauts on the moon during the Apollo mission in 1969.

The books chronicle stories and histories of women - astrophysicists, scientists, quantum physicists who also were ballerinas, bikers, paleontologists, queens, pirates and more.

And now, 2019 brings us another Rebel Girl book!

I Am a Rebel Girl: A Journal to Start Revolutions is filled with activities that challenge perspective, induce thought, and prompt action. Write love notes to your body parts, draw yourself climbing a mountain, write a letter to an elected representative and interact with the beautiful, original artwork developed by female artists.

I Am a Rebel Girl is the perfect companion to the book series. It is an action plan that creates space for BIG ideas and it helps girls develop the tools they need to lead the revolution of our time.

Also, did you know? It was printed with soy and vegetable-based inks! It also has beautiful stickers and amazing calls to action.
